Merino Homes are hiring! We are wanting to offer someone the opportunity to undertake a builders carpentry apprenticeship. This position is ideal for someone who wants to one day become a builder themselves, run a carpentry crew or project manage. Upon completion you will be fully qualified as a carpenter by trade and have extensive experience on all aspects of building.
The successful candidate will be a 1st or 2nd year carpentry apprentice who is honest, hardworking, reliable, and looking to work on unique custom design projects. This role does not suit the fainthearted or someone looking to get any job to get out of school. We will not tolerate anyone who is highly dependent on their phone as our worksites are for working and not social media.
Parents need not apply on behalf of their child because we are looking for someone who has the drive and motivation to independently grasp this unique opportunity. Taking on a carpentry apprenticeship with a builder is a great way to fast track their career in the building industry.
We are a small building company located in the Macarthur/ Southern Highlands Area working on bespoke designed homes and have a big focus on quality and customer service. We are already a diverse company with over 30 years’ experience and are looking for someone to grow with our team.

- Access to your own transport and current driver’s licence
- Possess the ability to follow instructions without supervision
- Be available for overtime
- Have a commitment to safety.
